AS355 Pilot Vacancy

23/12/2019

PDG Aviation Services are looking for a full time AS355 pilot to fly single pilot VFR missions throughout the UK, Ireland and mainland Europe.

The successful applicant will be employed on CAT charter flights and SPO utility tasking including:

  • Powerline patrols
  • Pipeline patrols
  • Aerial Surveys (LiDAR, hyperspectral, radar, thermal, visual)
  • Filming & photography using hand held and turret-mounted equipment

Prior experience of these missions is not a requirement as appropriate task training will be provided.

Good CRM skills are essential as these tasks often involve flying with Task Specialists.

PDG set very high standards for flying skill and personal conduct.

The ideal candidate will have 2,000 hours on helicopters, most of which will have been single pilot VFR flights in the northern European area.

The pilot must relocate to within 1 hour (driving) of our Cumbernauld base.

An EASA CPL(H) and unrestricted Class 1 medical, a driving license with fewer than 6 penalty points, and the right to live and work in the UK are essential requirements.

A type rating is not required, although previous turbine experience would be advantageous. The successful candidate will be subject to a bond for any type rating provided.

Applicants should have an excellent command of English.

PDG pilots can expect to work away from base for up to two weeks at a time (occasionally longer) and will be required to self-drive to work locations.

The successful applicant can expect to fly between 500-700 hours per annum.

Whilst much of the work is single pilot and away from direct supervision, candidates must be willing to integrate into the wider PDG team.

Please apply to the PDG Chief Pilot david.blane@pdgaviation.com with a full CV and an explanation of the contributions you could make to our continuing success.
